Office & warehouse relocations

Office, warehouse, and factory relocations vary significantly from residential moves, requiring a specific skill set and equipment.

Residential removalist should only work on commercialmoves if they have been trained correctly.

There are a lot of differences between the two. It is not a one size fits all.

  • Different skills are required by removalists and project managers.
  • Specific equipment is required to move and store items.
  • Office furniture and equipment often differs from residential.
  • Additional time with lifts may be required depending on the size of the building.
  • Moves are normally conducted out of operating hours to minimise disruption to the business.

My advice for a successful outcome:

 1. Don’t underestimate the time it will take to complete.

2. If you have an IT expect, include them to oversee the smooth transition of moving technology.

3. Consider converting paper files to electronic options to save space.

4. Onsite management is the key to any move being successful.

5. Employ a company with a separate project manager who can provide other essential services.
